Fortitudo Basket Francavilla won the Under-15 Excellence regional title, beating Happy Casa Brindisi in overtime, 73–64.
The game was very close. Both teams had strong moments. With 14 seconds left in regular time, the score was tied at 59–59. Happy Casa Brindisi had the last chance to win, but missed the shot. Fortitudo player Goffredo took the rebound, scored the tying basket, and also had an extra free throw with 2 seconds left.
In overtime, Fortitudo Basket Francavilla had more energy and stayed calmer. They pulled away and won 73–64.
After the game, both teams received awards from FIP Puglia President Francesco Damiani and Francavilla Mayor Antonello De Nuzzo.
This win allows Fortitudo Basket Francavilla to go directly to the interzonal phase, while Happy Casa Brindisi will first play the playoffs. Good luck to both teams!
