Gyms just a few steps away, within 100 metres
Working well also means having complementary spaces. Within a very short distance from PalaEmidea, we have three school gyms that we use for training, specific technical work, and group logistics.
Gym of the “Giovanni Calò” Technical and Business Institute
“Ragioneria” is one of the city’s main schools, a few metres from the arena. Its gym is a valuable part of our daily work: it allows extra training time slots, small-group work, and focused sessions on fundamentals. Being close to classrooms also supports the school–sport balance, with quick return to study time.
Gym of the “Francesco Ribezzo” Scientific High School
The Scientific High School is a short walk from PalaEmidea. Its gym helps us diversify work spaces (shooting, skills, movement training) and keep constant contact with the school world. Here too, we run sessions for sub-groups and dedicated work for specific age groups.
Gym of the “San Francesco” School (Third Comprehensive School De Amicis – San Francesco)
The San Francesco gym completes our indoor “square”. It is ideal for intro activities, mini basketball, and light technical work, and also for moments of integration with the school community. Its proximity to the arena helps us optimise schedules and staff, while keeping athletes always under control.

- residences and study spaces in the city centre;
- Basket Lab for prevention, assessments, and return to play.
Everything within walking distance, in a human-sized city. This is how FBF builds organised, effective, and calm days for its athletes.
An FBF project
Basket Lab is part of our technical system: data goes back to the gym and becomes practical guidance for coaches and strength staff. It is not an “external showcase service”, but an internal engine that works every week with the same goal: help our athletes grow well, with fewer stops and higher quality on the court.
Five minutes from everything
In less than five minutes on foot, you reach our arena: a key facility, strengthened for major events, with renovated locker rooms, air conditioning, sustainable technologies, and modern services. This means less wasted time, precise organisation, and more energy to dedicate to training, study, and recovery.
High schools (Scientific High School and the Technical/Business Institute “Ragioneria”) are just a few metres away, and we have a direct relationship with principals and teachers: the athlete is never left alone in their school path. The family stays involved and informed, with constant dialogue that connects school performance, sport commitments, and peace of mind.

At the centre of the home there is a resident education figure 24/7: a real presence, not “a few hours a day”. They take care of cleaning and laundry, but most of all they listen, observe, and support: balanced nutrition, sleep routine, and conversations when needed. Every detail speaks of real care.
The spaces are large and bright: internet connection, a dedicated study area, common areas for social time, and a meal plan designed for people who do sport. The idea is simple: a safe and human place where the athlete lives well, trains better, and grows as a person.
This is not a “mass solution” and it is not an experiment: it is a quality choice. For a few selected athletes, inside a method that puts the person at the centre and builds sports results through an organised, happy daily life — in the city centre.
